Host summit in Lagos
A peace building organization, Foundation for Peace Professionals also known as PeacePro in partnership with Larinka Playhouse and Guild of Nigerian Dance Practitioners is pleased to present Larinka Njabata, a 3 days creative summit for the promotion of peacebuilding through dance, entertainment and cultural preservation.
The organization said that the creative industry can play strategic role in healing Nigeria and bridging the gap.
In a statement by the project coordinator, Mr Hamzat Barshan, the 3 days event shall commence on 18th November,2021 and to be concluded on 20th November, 2021 at the Larinka Playhouse, Ipaja, Lagos state, Nigeria.
The event, which include peacebuilding training for selected participant, bead festival and induction of trainee into the Foundation for Peace Professionals shall empower participants to understand the role of creative industry in promoting peacebuilding and conflict resolution.
According to him, the issue of peacebuilding and conflict management should be everyone’s business because, where there’s no peace, nothing good thrive in there.
Hamzat explained that, people working in the creative industry has alot of role to play in restoring peace to Nigeria and we are using this opportunity to bring creative professionals together to acquire basic skills of peacebuilding, so as to begin the process of incorporation peace advocacy in their contents.
